Camera test: Night
Shot some test video tonight. I strapped the camera to the back of the GT. I'm unenthusiastic about the results...any thoughts?

These are my thoughts on your test video...
[+] THIS IS HUGE: There's practically no shake or vibration!
[+] The quality of the video is clearly better than the test ones from my Canon PowerShot A75 digital camera. For a night video, I think it shows plenty of detail - more than I expected.
[+] The sound quality is just as good as the resolution.
[+] The editing looks professional.
[-] Wish I had thought of actually speaking in my video. HA!
[-] The angle may prove to be dull and will probably only be used occassionally.
[?] Turning the camera to face forward may cause loss in sound quality.
[?] Will the plug-in helmet cam produce the same quality video and sound?
All in all, I think your test video was a huge success and independent of my videos. Because the purpose of my previous video posts was to test camera angles, they are not the benchmark for video quality. I'm excited about the overall professional appearance of the video with its look, sound, and editing. I think viewers will appreciate our daily video posts if they will be of the same quality. We'll just need to film landmarks a little more interesting than Safeway...or in my case, clouds.

I have the same camera and have yet to get satisfactory results. The mic is useless and the vibration from the bike really degrades the video quality. When I had it attached to my helmet using a modified chatterbox side mount the results were better but I wanted to use this camera for a different perspective as you are trying to do. I am still looking for a solution but in the meantime I am happy with my helmet mounted Kodak V570. You can check out some vids at www.livevideo.com/Thundercat98 if you like. The Intro Vid my first vid was shot entirely with the ATC2000 facing rearward and attached to the passenger peg.
